If you’d asked me before then, I might’ve shared a snapshot of that one time when my tightest jeans fit me, or when I finally felt my stomach was flat enough to pierce my belly button AND wear the crop top. And if I timeline hopped to the other side of the spectrum? It might surprise you to know I was experiencing a same-same-but-different reality. Because even when I found myself freely eating, those memories were filled with shame-filled binging, lethargy, and despising the way I felt in my own body. Realizing, with every passing memory that–no matter HOW I flipped the coin–I couldn’t identify what it was like to feel fulfilled, free and f%cking sexy in my body. Coming to terms with this ice cold reality sent me on a holistic wellness journey, and now, 10 years later, I can proudly say I know what it feels like to LOVE living in my body, while freely enjoying what I eat, on holidays AND on everyday days.
